Hi Neil

Congrats for the weight loss and extra energy - a great bonus and reward for continuing.

Yeah definitely much easier and more energetic today... Was in the car taking Lex to school earlier and considering carrying on next week as it's really not that tricky with the correct mindset.

Agree on the pineapple overdose and I am finding the juices a bit too sweet and sugary. Yesterday's late lunch has been my favourite so far, but I am looking forward to opening yoghurt later today!!

Hi Niel,
I actually found the sweetness of the Apple was too much for me by Day 3/4 in the Apple Cinnamon drink! Now Ginger......I love that!

I loved the rebounder too...not a fan of running so it's fun way to do cardio at home....got any good song choices to bounce along to?

Last night was my first evening meal on Phase 2 of the detox......chicken and steamed veggies have never tasted so yummy!

Hi Neil,
I've just completed 7 days of this programme and I feel great. Yes, I've lost quite a few pounds but more importantly for me, I've now been a week without wheat, sugar and caffeine and can really tell the difference. I didn't think I felt mentally fuzzy before, but now I feel very clear headed and new ideas are cropping up and I've noticed I'm stepping forward into action with a few things that were stalling. I definitely needed more sleep......was tired much earlier in the evening, but a good tired rather than feeling drained or weary. I'm perimenopausal and had been experiencing some joint pain related to it...and that is much less now.
On the activity/exercise front, then 2 x 30mins are recommended on the 7 day programme....the main aim is getting your heart rate up and more oxygen circulating around..and that could be a brisk walk, so kudos for you for doing ab and strength work as well as cardio. And if anyone reading this is unused to exercise then the brisk walk option might suit you well.
I actually found I went to the loo less at night.....see what happens a few days into the programme. Today I started reintroduing some items into my plan.....just had chicken and steamed veggies and they tasted devine......I feel my palate has cleared. Food for me is a great sensory pleasure....and as I advocate getting pleasure in your life whenever you can, it meant that I was snacking and sometimes eating more than I needed to. The 7 day plan has given me an opportunity to reset my taste buds, experience (rather than just read about) how I feel with no caffeine, sugar and wheat......and allow me to start making more informed choices through sensing the effect on my body as to what foods I now reintroduce......will be continuing with juices for some meals as I love the taste. Enjoy this opportunity Neil....so many people in the world don't get the food choices that we have.

I realize this is kind of off topic nevertheless Now i'm thinking about setting up my very own weblog and was thinking just what is normally important setup? I'm assuming developing a blogging site much like the one you have http://communitysoulblog.com/how-niching-helps-you-save-money-on-advertising-and-marketing.php would likely cost you a lot of cash? I'm not quite internet savvy so I am not hundred percent positive. Any tips or help and advice is tremendously liked. Many thanks.

Neil, thank you for this candid, heartfelt commentary on taking responsibility, through our choices, for improving the world. Reminds me of "Jerry McGuire's" manifesto, written in inspired moments of openness... and the quotes you cite bring to mind another well-known statement by anthropologist Margaret Meade: "Never doubt that a group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." Thanks for being one of those citizens.

I love that "freedom of choice" only happens if your children agree with you - not a lot of "freedom" or "choice" there!!

I just had to chime in on this one! Such a great post and a great topic. We shop every weekend at our local boot sale and it feels great! not only is it incredibly cheap, but there is a great sense of community and people connecting - a much better social interaction that the awful sterile super store environment. And there are certainly some characters there! another book that has really inspired me in this area is 'Your money or your life' by Vicki Robin, Joe Dominquez and Monique Tilford - its a great read with lots of inspiring stories of people who have changed their lives based on a different mindset around money how and what we spend it on. Highly recommend it! Cheers Neil
